From Europe’s Darkness to the Light of Islam: Between Message and Reality

From Europe’s Darkness to the Light of Islam: Between Message and Reality

Europe endured long centuries of intellectual, political, and spiritual darkness. Ecclesiastical despotism prevailed, and religious and political elites monopolized the interpretation of existence and truth, cutting people off from the pure sources of revelation brought by the prophets: Jesus, Moses, David, and Solomon (peace be upon them). These prophets brought nothing but the pure call to monotheism – the very message that was completed and elevated in Islam, the religion of the One God since the beginning of creation.

Islam is spreading in Europe

Today, as the falsehood of Western materialist civilization becomes evident – a civilization that raised the banners of freedom, justice, and human rights while practicing the opposite in reality – Europeans are once again searching for the truth. This quest has led many to discover Islam, the natural continuation of the religion of the prophets, the religion of innate disposition (fitrah), which connects man to his Creator without intermediaries and balances between spirit and matter, individual and society.

The numbers of people embracing Islam in Europe are rising, mosques are filling, and the sound of the adhan has become part of the cultural landscape in cities that once knew only the bells of churches. This momentum is not just an individual movement but a collective thirst for meaning beyond the cage of predatory materialism.

Gaza and the true face of terrorism

The recent events in Gaza exposed the true face of the so-called “world order.” Masks have fallen, and it has become clear that the real terrorism is not what is falsely attributed to Islam and Muslims but lies in the Zionist-American project that sanctions the killing of children, the displacement of peoples, and the destruction of homes over their inhabitants.

Whoever supports the occupation in Palestine – with money, weapons, or media – in reality supports terrorism in its ugliest form and stands against truth and justice. The contradiction is stark: those accused of terrorism are the victims, while those who commit murder and expulsion are deemed “legitimate,” with Western blessing.

The Muslim as bearer of the message

In contrast, the true Muslim is a messenger, desiring only that people come to know God and follow the path of the prophets. He harbors no hatred, wishes harm upon no one, but strives to free humanity from servitude to men and guide them to servitude to the Lord of all.

Here Gaza becomes the icon of this message – a great sacrifice to awaken slumbering hearts. It is the candle that burns itself to illuminate others, paying the price with the blood of its children, the tears of its women, and the steadfastness of its men, so the world may see the difference: between those who kill in the name of interests and those who remain steadfast in the name of faith and dignity.

Europe, which once emerged from the darkness of the Middle Ages into the light of material sciences, is today beginning to move toward another light – deeper and everlasting: the light of true faith. Gaza today is the beacon that redefines for the world the meaning of sacrifice and mission. As God Almighty said:

“They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, even though the disbelievers hate it.” (Qur’an 9:32)

The light is coming, Islam is spreading, and Gaza is the bridge through which the world crosses from the darkness of falsehood to the light of truth.
