Peace and Honor to Our People in Gaza
Peace and Honor to Our People in Gaza
By Dr. Hussein Yamani Writer and Researcher in International Economic Relations
Peace be upon you for your patience and steadfastness,
Peace be upon you for what you have given and sacrificed.
Peace upon the soil of Gaza, upon its sky, its land, and its sea.
Peace upon its people, its trees, and its crops.
Peace upon those who awakened the global conscience and sparked a worldwide movement that will inevitably become the beginning of change.
It is your right and the right of every free person on this earth to rejoice at the halt of the bloodshed.
And it is our right to rejoice in the martyrs whom God has chosen from among us — and we do not claim purity for anyone before God.
And it is our duty to rejoice that we have become an example of freedom, steadfastness, and resilience.
We are content with God’s decree and destiny.
We are not necessarily commanded to achieve victory, but rather to defend;
and in both cases there is only one of the two good outcomes: victory or martyrdom, or patience in adversity all of which are great stations with God.
We do not feel secure from the enemy’s deceit, nor does this mean the massacres and killings will automatically cease.
As long as there is occupation, the blood will not stop flowing until this occupation is uprooted completely.
The occupier has neither covenant nor faith, and we do not rule out that it will resume fighting after retrieving its captives.
But what has happened was decreed by God, and God knows best what was, what will be, and what would have been and truly, nothing could have been better than what God decreed.
The coming days will be greater, by God’s will.
Even if the occupation resumes its aggression, there are free peoples around the world whose words and actions exert real pressure and influence.
We count on the effect of free consciences worldwide.
The occupation now realizes that while it builds in one corner, it destroys much more elsewhere the stage of their downfall has begun.
Sadly, the enemy has succeeded in silencing the Arab voice, but it will never silence the voice of the free peoples of the world
those who have stood with us in sympathy and solidarity, through their words, their hearts, and their media influence.
We hope this effort will extend also from those closest to us from the people of the Ummah who still carry living consciences that never bow.
The resistance was never required to liberate Palestine alone with its limited means;
its mission was to persist in its steadfastness and defense as the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A group of my Ummah will continue to fight for the truth, defeating their enemy. Those who oppose them will not harm them until the command of Allah comes and they remain upon that.”
And in another narration:
“They will remain in steadfast defense (ribāt) until the Day of Judgment.”
We affirm that our hope in God is great, and the global awareness and willpower have proven that oppression can never rule forever.
Let us continue to support with our words, our actions, and our political and humanitarian efforts,
preserving dignity, rights, and humanity.
Let us remember that Palestine sacrifices itself to spread faith, justice, and Islam.
Palestine the land of the prophets and cradle of divine message
is the land blessed by God in His Holy Book:> “Glory be to Him Who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque whose surroundings We have blessed.” (Qur’an 17:1)
Palestine has never been merely a piece of land; it has always been a beacon of faith,
a symbol of patience and steadfastness, and a shield defending the identity and creed of the Ummah.
At a time when some thought Islam was weakening,
Palestine reminded the world of the meaning of faith, endurance, and sacrifice,
reviving hearts with certainty in the promise of God.
Scenes of steadfastness in Gaza have reached the entire world:
mothers bidding farewell to their children with takbir,
fighters facing battle with confidence,
children smiling amid the rubble.
These images have shaken hearts
many across the East and West have been moved and said:
“These people are on the truth how could they stand firm like this unless they are supported by a Great Lord?”
Indeed, we have heard countless stories of people who embraced Islam or returned to faith after witnessing Gaza’s resilience,
realizing that Islam is the faith of Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad peace be upon them all
a single divine faith: Islam, which means peace.
The people of Palestine follow the path of Moses, Jesus, and the final Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
The message of Islam is based on tawheed the oneness of God:
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.
What is happening in Palestine is not merely a territorial conflict it is a battle over values and faith,
a struggle that reveals the truth and justice of Islam and draws millions to know the religion through the sacrifices and patience of Gaza’s people.
Thus, despite their wounds, Palestine has become a pulpit for da‘wah (inviting to faith);
its people are preachers through their actions before their words.
They teach us that Islam is not mere speech but a way of life steadfast in the face of injustice no matter how severe.
They are like a burning candle sacrificing itself to illuminate the path for others.
I invite you to read the Qur’an and learn about Islam
for tomorrow we shall all depart, and only faith
and righteous deeds will bring us closer to God

We pray that God grants victory to Palestine and its people,
that He makes their patience a light guiding hearts,
that He rewards them for their sacrifices in His cause,
that He unites the Muslim Ummah through them,
and that He restores to Palestine its safety and dignity.
