The Satisfaction Index in Syria Between Decline and Rise

The Satisfaction Index in Syria Between Decline and Rise

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the one sent as a mercy to all mankind, and upon his family and noble companions. To proceed, we return to the Syrian file, this file that has become the focus of global attention. All eyes and ears are directed toward Syria. We know that victory is near, and we know that the condition of the nation will change, but we do not know from where this victory will come.

Which entity will unite the Islamic nation? Which entity will unify this nation, elevate its status among nations, and return it to its religion? Many times we look at certain indicators and find them disappointing, causing our level of satisfaction to decline, and we feel that Syria is far from achieving what we hope and aspire to. At other times, we see the satisfaction index rise, and we feel that Syria has once again returned to the central position it should occupy, the position that will unite the Arab and Islamic world.

We do not expect Syria to build itself merely for its own sake, because if it does so, it would become like any other Arab state that follows the path of betrayal and listens and submits to Zionist American orders. What we want from Syria is what millions of people want, perhaps more than a billion Muslims, whose eyes are fixed on Syria.

There are indicators that raise our level of satisfaction, and others that reduce it. We must always remain open minded, not blindly following what is said, but rather comparing matters based on reality, not on the satisfaction of America or the West. Just as America has its standards of satisfaction, Muslims also have their own, which must be weighed and placed correctly.

First, the primary factor that led to a decline in satisfaction is not the Syrian American relationship itself. On the contrary, we support Syria having relations with America, Russia, all Western countries without exception, and with the Arab and Islamic surroundings. We do not deny the necessity of such relations. What we reject, however, is a relationship based on allegiance.

What does allegiance mean here? It means that in exchange for economic relations, financial support, openness, and investment inflows, concessions are made. Among these concessions is handing over control of education to Americans to decide what we should study and what we should not. This constitutes allegiance, and it is the path followed by many Arab states, unfortunately producing generations lacking protective jealousy. Gaza was destroyed entirely, yet the Arab and Islamic world barely moved, and some reactions were shameful.

The Syrian people remain free, and the word of truth still emerges from mouths that some seek to silence. When we see attempts to control education, reduce Islamic upbringing, and replace it with music education, this clearly lowers our satisfaction level and the satisfaction of every Muslim who follows these developments.

Syria is our land. Palestine was historically under Syrian protection, and central administration throughout history was based in Syria. For this reason, we are part of Greater Syria and part of the Islamic nation. Any country that declares there is no god but Allah is part of us and we are part of it.

We must care and not adopt narrow nationalist thinking that distances us from the Islamic unity that binds Muslims together. When unity among Muslims is discussed, it is often labeled as extremism. Yet Europe united in the European Union, and America united its states under one country. Why then is Muslim unity portrayed as illogical, when what unites us is far greater than what divides us?

Another indicator of declining satisfaction is the discussion around altering educational curricula and introducing international conventions such as CEDAW. While not yet implemented, these developments are being closely monitored.

A second negative indicator is joining the American led alliance against terrorism. America announced that Syria became the ninetieth member of this coalition. But what is terrorism? Will they fight Zionist terrorism that killed children and destroyed homes, or will they fight those who declare there is no god but Allah?

Here lies the danger, as this alliance ultimately targets Muslims. It is impermissible to ally with non Muslims to fight Muslims. This has been established by scholars, including the fatwa issued in 2015 by Sheikh Osama Al Rifai. We do not invent these views but reiterate scholarly consensus.

Terrorism is a political label used by America to serve its interests. Many Islamic groups in Syria are labeled terrorist for political disagreement, despite representing large segments of the population. Even those who deviate must first be advised and corrected by Muslims themselves, not fought alongside foreign powers.

Positive indicators include the chants of the Free Syrian Army in solidarity with Gaza, which brought joy to Muslims worldwide. We await a leader and a unifying moment, believing that an Islamic unity and victory are approaching by the will of Allah.

The occupation recognizes this reality and behaves like Pharaoh when he feared the birth of a child who would end his rule. Their decline has begun.

Syria represents the most suitable environment for revival, yet policies must be corrected. Europeans protest harmful policies rather than rulers, influencing decisions through public opinion. The fight against terrorism serves only Zionist American interests, enabling interference in internal affairs.

Other negative indicators include imprisoning opinion holders, secret trials, and Zionist expansion in southern Syria. Political pluralism should be allowed as in Europe, where extremist parties compete through elections rather than violence.

True terrorism such as bombings was orchestrated to distort Islam. Islamic law rejects such acts. After the fall of the criminal regime, freedoms should have been guaranteed. Implementing Islamic law is not an opinion but a divine command serving the interest of the nation.

Building people before buildings is essential, as Gaza demonstrated through steadfastness. Syria, with its open borders, must defend itself strongly. Struggle is inevitable, as Allah created humanity in hardship.

The conflict between truth and falsehood never ends. Those seeking comfort lose, while those who strive prevail. Khalid ibn Al Walid exemplified rapid movement and decisive leadership.

We ask Allah to protect Syria, unite the Muslims, restore the nation’s dignity, establish the caliphate as promised by the Prophet, and make Syria the land of resurgence.
